1. Mellieha Bay
Mellieha Bay, also know by the locals as, Ghadira Bay, is the largest sandy beach in Malta, situated in the northern part of the main island! The water here is shallow, perfect for kids to play and build sandcastles. This beach isn’t just for kids – adults love it too! You’ll find people of all ages playing beach rackets, soaking up the sun, or relaxing with a good book by the sea. In the summer, there’s a fun water park with big inflatable slides you can go on for a small fee. You can also try jet skiing, sausage rides, or paddle boating. And if you’re feeling hungry, there are snack kiosks selling ice cream and drinks. It’s easy to get here by taking the “Cirkewwa” bus from the Imhasel bus stop.
2. Golden Bay
Golden Bay is a beautiful sandy beach that’s loved by both tourists and locals alike. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas here, and there are kiosks selling ice creams, snacks, and drinks. Remember to stay within the swimming area and follow the flag signs, especially if the weather is windy – there might be strong water currents. It’s easy to get to this beach by bus from the Imhasel bus stop.
